OutKast is setup to fish for suspended walleye by trolling. What is trolling? Trolling is method in which we pull lures in a combination of different presentations, these include the use of Down-riggers, disk divers, Jet diver, clip-on weights, and exclusively Blood Run Tackle lead-core and  their unique Walleye copper trolling line. OutKast Sportfishing uses exclusively Vicious Fishing Line Braid and Fluorocarbon, a name that has proven itself time and time again to produce for those weary Lake Erie walleye. All of our line is spooled on to the quality reels manufactured by Okuma fishing  products and fished on Okuma Blue Diamond Rods. Couple those with the use of state of the art electronic, trolling bags and speed monitoring, these techniques allow us to get the lure to the fish and entice them to " take a bite".      Greetings, my name is Captain Jared Meyer. With over ten years Great lakes marine experience, I am here to provide you with a safe, enjoyable, and most importantly a memorable experience fishing aboard OutKast. I am licensed as a United States Coast Guard 50 Ton Master captain. Along with Captaining OutKast, I enjoy the outdoors by fishing both open and hard water, hunting, SCUBA diving, camping, and just spending time with my wife and children.

      When I am not on the water I serve as a full time Firefighter/Emergency Medical Technician / Master Diver, for the City of Dunkirk Fire Department, along with being assigned to The Chautauqua County Water Emergency Team (CCWET).

      With that being said I am very flexible with my scheduling and can work to accommodate you and your party. 

OutKast- The boat

Our Boat "OutKast", is a 1998 BAHA 285 Fisherman Hard-top. "OutKast" is 28' long, has a impressive 10' 6" beam and is powered by twin 350 Mercruiser inboard motors. Baha Cruisers have proven themselves to be comfortable fishing vessels, and OutKast has been well powered to get us where we are going. OutKast was built to stand up to the elements and provides you with an enclosed seating area for your comfort while you await the fish to strike. The cockpit on "OutKast" is tremendously spacious providing you with plenty of room to land fish or enjoy Lake Erie's beautiful weather. In the berth of "OutKast" we offer a fully enclosed stand-up bathroom for your privacy. Our vessel is outfitted with all the required USCG safety equipment, state of the art sonar, VHF marine radio with internal GPS DCS and MMSI Licensed, GPS, barometric pressure monitor, down speed/temp, and AM/FM/CD/satellite Radio for your enjoyment.
